NCAA March Madness - Day 7

Ok, so once again we had another .500 night against the spread and a 75% straight up. Although I'm a little shy of both of my goals, there is still a slight chance I surpass both of them. Last night all of the top seeds inched their way closer to the tournament. Will this be the first year all of the #1 seeds get to the final four? Don't bet on it. The first #1 seed falls now!I expect the team in BOLD to win outright.

Saturday March 24, 2007

10* Game of the Year Play

Ohio State Buckeyes -2 over Memphis Tigers

Holy Buckeyes! How has OSU survived up to this point? They should have been bounced the last two games, yet here they are on their way to a possible final four appearance. I usually love playing against a squad who holds on the week before by a hair, but there seems to be some magic behind the Buckeyes this season. Knowing that the Tigers are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win definitely helps our chances. It doesn't hurt knowing that the Buckeyes are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games. It looks like my NCAA Basketball pool just got better. Buckeyes win a close one!

UCLA +2 over Kansas

Another one-two matchup ready for the pickin! If you asked me when the tournament started whether or not I thought the Jayhawks were the real deal, I would have said no. If you had asked me again after their first two tournament games, I would have said they were going to beat my Final Four Bruins in the Elite Eight game. Now, after watching them struggle versus an overrated Southern Illinois Saluki squad, I have changed my mind again. The bottom line is you can't judge a team by its most recent performance. Handicappers realize this, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Jayhawks crush the Bruins tonight. My only concern is the trends are all on the Bruins side. The Jayhawks are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Pac 10, while the Bruins are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog of 0.5 to 6.5 pts and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a win % above .600. Maybe I'm a little biased because one of my final four teams is the Bruins...or maybe not. The Bruins are off to Hotlanta!

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA March Madness - Day 6

Goodbye Buckeyes? Not so fast. Yesterday may have been one of the greatest days in the history of college basketball. How will the other #1 seeds fair the remaining tournament days? Let's see what happens...
I expect the teams in BOLD to win the game outright.

Friday March 23, 2006

Georgetown -7.5 over Vanderbilt
North Carolina -8.5 over USC
UNLV +3.5 over Oregon - Pike's Best Bet Game of the Day!

Best of Luck,

Pikes

Pike's NCAA Documented Record: 44-8 S.U. (85%) and 28-21-3 ATS (57%)

NCAA March Madness - Day 5

How sweet it is! Do you think the games have lived up to the hype thus far? Even though I've hit an impressive 85% straight up in the tournament, my bracket is looking a tad beat up. Currently my mother in-law is winning the annual family tournament. Usually we laugh at her because she picks all the #1 seeds to go to the Final Four (this year included); however, this year she could be on to something. So what gives? Is the tournament extremely boring because the top seeds are running away with it? I think it's just that the top seeds are playing like top seeds should. I never dreamed OSU would come back from a 9 pt deficit against Xavier last Saturday. I didn't expect Oregon to be where they are today. I really thought Miami OH would beat them. I think Texas A&M is a fraud yet they are in the Sweet 16 and could be headed to the Final Four! So is this tournament going to continue to play out as it should, with the top seeds earning a trip to Hotlanta? Time will tell. Until then, let's profit!
I expect the team in BOLD to win the game outright.

Thursday March 22nd

Memphis +3.5 over Texas A&M
Ohio State -4.5 over Tennessee

NCAA March Madness - Day 4

Is anyone going Mad yet? If you missed yesterday's NCAA Basketball Games, you missed one hell of a day. I was dead on yesterday going 8-0 SU and 5-2-1 ATS (71%). Although I'm still only hitting 59% ATS overall this tourney, I'm not even close to finished. If you think there was plenty of Madness yesterday, today is going to be a DISASTER! Get ready to profit.

I expect the team in BOLD to win the game outright.

Things are going to get messy...

12pm
Tennessee -2.5 over Virginia

2pm

Pike's NCAA Documented Record: 36-4 S.U. (90%) and 22-15-3 ATS (59%)

3.16.2007

NCAA March Madness - Day 3

Where are the upsets? So far the NCAA Tournament has been what some might call...a little boring. Although I didn't pick a #3 or #4 seed to lose straight up, I honestly thought one would go down prior to today's games. Another trend that usually works is that #1 seeds tend to NOT cover in their opening game. This year they were 3-1 ATS! What gives Vegas? Maybe Vegas has the public right where they want them...or maybe not. Either way, we are going to stick with the same system we've used for years. I'm still aiming for 65%.

I expect the team in BOLD to win the game outright.

1pm
Xavier +8.5 over Ohio State

3pm
Butler +5.5 over Maryland
Texas A&M -3 over Louisville

5pm
Pittsburgh -7 over Va Commonwealth
Boston College +8.5 over Georgetown
Vanderbilt +3 over Washington State

8pm

Indiana +7 over UCLA (Indiana could win this game outright! )

Best of Luck,

Pikes
Pike's NCAA Tournament Record: 28-4 S.U. (88%) and 17-13-2 ATS (57%)

NCAA March Madness - Day 2

Can you say, "public day?" Yes, once again the public cleaned house on the first day of the tournament. Considering that after the first 8 games there were zero upsets, my selections didn't start off too hot. Hopefully things turn around today.

I expect the team in BOLD to win the game outright.

12pm
Albany +8.5 over Virginia
UNLV +2 over Georgia Tech
Memphis -18.5 over North Texas

1-2pm
Nevada -1.5 over Creighton
Texas A&M Corpus +13 over Wisconsin

NCAA March Madness - Day 1

Here are my predictions for the NCAA Tournament, both against the spread and straight up. If you plan on betting against any of my plays, you may want to think twice. Let's see how I fair after all the games have ended. My goal is to hit 65% of the games I play ATS and 85% Straight Up! Any takers?

I expect the team in BOLD to win the game outright.

12pm
Davidson +6.5 over Maryland
Boston College -3 over Texas Tech

March Madness 2007: How to Win Your Pool(s)

The Madness is now two days old. In less than 48 hours, you’ll be spending more time checking your cell phone for scores than you will be trying to close that big deal you’ve been working on for months. March Madness comes to everyone’s favorite living room or drinking pavilion on Thursday, and we here at SixTalkingHeads are here to help you take home the money from all 27 (or more) pools you’ll be entering between now and game time. All you have to do is follow these golden rules.

Rule 1 - One of the #1 seeds will lose before the Final Four – This always happens. In fact, it's quite likely that two #1 seeds will fall before the Final Four. Since the field expanded to 64 teams, there has never been a Final Four consisting of all #1 seeds. This year’s best bets to fall are Kansas or North Carolina. Kansas could fall as early as round two, but if they move on they’ll be hard pressed to beat UCLA or Pitt in the Elite 8. North Carolina will have a tough second round match-up versus either Marquette or Michigan State. If they get past that game, their reward will be a date in the Sweet Sixteen with Texas and superstar freshman Mr. Kevin Durant. It’ll be a tough road for the Tar Heels this year.

Rule 2 – DO NOT pick a #1 or #2 seed to lose in the first round – It just doesn’t happen. #1 seeds are 88-0 since 1985 and #2 seeds are 84-4. This year’s #2 seeds are especially solid and all have something to prove. They will not lose in the first round. Do yourself a favor and don’t pick any upset of a #1 or #2 seed in the opening round..

Rule 3 – A #12 seed will beat a #5 seed in the first round – In each of the last 6 years, a #12 has beaten a #5. All 12 versus 5 games this year are very intriguing match-ups, so I certainly see this trend holding up. A great example could be Illinois versus Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech just doesn’t have the punch to counter Illinois tough defense. If Illinois can knock down some shots, they could easily advance to round two. Arkansas and Old Dominion are also legitimate threats as #12 seeds.

Rule 4 – Teams playing close to home have a HUGE advantage – This year North Carolina and Louisville open the first two rounds close to home. Pittsburgh, UCLA and Oregon all open in cities fairly close to home, or in places with great fan support. This cannot be underestimated. Fans in college basketball are a huge factor in their teams’ games, perhaps even more so than in any other sport in the country. If a team needs an x-factor, a couple thousand extra fans can be the additional weight needed to swing the momentum pendulum.

Rule 5 – Cinderella is not just a Disney movie – Cinderella is synonymous with the NCAA tournament. From Villanova in ’85 to George Mason in ’06, everyone loves an underdog. There are a few teams who could wear the glass slipper this season. Virginia Commonwealth, Winthrop, and Davidson could all ride huge waves of momentum if they can topple their higher ranked opponents (Duke, Notre Dame, and Maryland, respectively) in the opening round. They could be one hit wonders or they could ride on to the Elite 8 or better.

Rule 6 – Don’t get caught up in upsets – This is a fitting follow up to rule 5. Don’t start singing, “Cindarelly, Cindarelly” in your head. Yes, upsets will occur, but you will not win if you pick too many upsets. There are games primed for upsets such as Winthrop over Notre Dame and games that might just end up that way (Oral Roberts over Washington St?). The smart way to look at this is that higher teams will lose, but almost the entire public will chose the higher seed to win just like you did. You will not lose as much ground as you feel you did by missing the upset. The moral: pick your upsets wisely, not irrationally.

Rule 7 – Don’t underestimate teams you’ve never heard of – Yes, Oral Roberts is actually a college, not your local family dentist. George Washington is not taking on Vanderbilt all by his lonesome. These teams will play tough in the first round and could make you pay attention the rest of the way. There are also several teams that are not known for their basketball prowess, but could make some noise. For example, many people will be surprised to see Southern Illinois as a #4 seed, but they have a great shot to make a strong run to the Sweet 16 and beyond. However…

Rule 8 – Don’t fall in love with Mid-Major teams - While it is fun to root for teams like Southern Illinois or Butler, they are not the teams that will help you win. Both teams have a chance to be in the Sweet Sixteen, but don’t expect Final Four runs. The Mid-Major conferences have shown that they are starting to catch up to the bigger conferences, but they’re not quite there yet. Proceed with caution when looking at a big time school versus a mid-major such as a potential Kansas versus Southern Illinois game in the Sweet 16.

Rule 9 – Don’t forget about history – Heed the warning that “Those who don’t remember history are bound to repeat it.” Michigan State generally follows a bad tournament (2002, 2006) with a strong one (2003, 2007?). Florida usually follows a strong tournament (2000, 2006) with an early exit (2001, 2007?). Roy Williams, North Carolina’s head coach, has led multiple programs to the Final Four. Young teams often do not win championships (remember the Fab 5?) and that could spell trouble for Ohio State and Texas. UCLA knows how to win (11 titles), it’s in their blood. They could be the most dangerous #2 seed. The last team to repeat as National Champions was Duke in 1992, which spells more bad news for Florida.

Rule 10 – When in doubt, trust your gut – This year’s tournament is one of the more difficult brackets in recent memory. There are many games that could really go either way. If you think about it too much, you’ll go crazy. Don’t read too much into the comments from the experts (except us) or focus too much on obscure statistics. Sometimes you just have a hunch and you go with it. This can be your saving grace when you have to decide the winner of your UCLA versus Kansas match-up in the Elite Eight, or your North Carolina versus Texas Sweet Sixteen game. Trust your instincts, they’ll serve you well.

NCAA Basketball - Friday, March 09

After nailing my 7* SEC Game of the Year last night with LSU over Tennessee, yours truly is back with another Game of the Year selection. Today's winner comes from the Mountain West Conference, and it plans to be another winner.

11:40pm EST

7* Play on Colorado State +10 over UNLV

Sure UNLV is ranked 25th in the country, but are they worthy of a 10 po
int favorite? So far in conference tournament play, we have seen more upsets than you can imagine. Even though Col. State is a 10 point dog, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up on top in this one. With UNLV already NCAA Tournament bound, Colorado State needs this one to keep their hopes alive. If you missed out on my 7* Selection yesterday, don't miss this easy one. It doesn't hurt that the Rams are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Mountain West Conference games. Colorado State is a good team that shouldn't be getting dogged by 10.

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA Basketball - Thursday, March 8th

Now that the NCAA Conference Tournaments are in full swing, it's time to make a push for some serious cash. Lately, the run at the SixTalkingHeads couldn't be better. Yesterday was public day in the NCAA, so if you were a public player I'm sure you made out pretty well. Today however, Vegas told me the freebies have ended. It's time to get serious!

9:45pm

7* Play on LSU Tigers +3 vs. Tennessee Volunteers

I am now 2-0 with my 5* NCAA Game of the Month, and I promise to deliver yet again tonight with my first 7* Conference Game of the Year Selection! Tonight's play is my SEC Conference Game of the Year and it's backed by some remarkable trends! If you are following the SixTalkingHeads Star System, you should be betting 7% of your account tonight! Trust me, you will be rewarded!

When it comes time for the Conference tournaments, experience matters. Tonight's play is on a team that is clearly in a "Win or Go Home" situation and has the experience to back it up. The LSU Tigers are just 16-14 and have no shot at an NCAA tournament bid without winning the SEC crown. It's not going to be an easy task, but Big Baby and company should be able to get the job done here tonight versus a Tennessee squad who is just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games, including 1-6 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games as a fav. The Fighting Tigers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Throw in the Tigers 6-1 ATS mark in their last 7 Thursday games and their 4-1 ATS mark in their last 5 as an underdog, and we have found our Thursday night winner! Combined, these nifty trends total an impressive 32-4-1 ATS mark and equal our 7* SEC GAME OF THE YEAR! When it comes to the Big Plays, I know how to pickem'; therefore, tonight will be like no other. The Fighting Tigers roll in what could be Big Baby's last game...but we know it won't be.

Remember to stick with the SixTalkingHeads Star System! You will be rewarded!

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA Basketball Picks - Tuesday, March 6

After a 3-0 run on Thursday last week, we have been silent in the world of the NCAA. For the season, we are now batting .500 and have been on a pretty impressive run as of late. Overall for the season we are still disappointed and hope that this week's Championship games provide us a chance for some easy cash. Tonight we find ourselves with 2 easy ones.

7pm

3* Play on Princeton +7.5 vs. Pennsylvania

Now that UPenn is tournament bound, their regular season is officially over. Sure Penn is the better team in today's contest, but with nothing to play for (except injuries), I don't expect Penn to go hog wild. The Quakers are just 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 games following a S.U. win while the Tigers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. a team with a winning % above .600. After Penn pulls the starters, the Tigers keep it close.

9pm

3* Play on Wright State +1.5 vs. Butler

Well, if you were one of the fortunate ones to cash in on Creighton this past Sunday, then you are in luck again. Tonight's play is the exact duplicate of Sunday's game with Butler being the better team in today's contest (17th in the country). Although Butler would love to take the conference crown, Wright State clearly has more to play for tonight. The Bulldogs are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. We also know that the Raiders are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a dog of 0.5-6.5 pts, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning record above .600, and 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. win. Combined we have an impressive 25-1-1 ATS inside angle! It looks like Wright State will be going to the Big Dance!

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA Documented Basketball Record: 32-32 (+5 stars)

2.28.2007

NCAA Basketball - Thursday, February 29th

Fresh off the heals of another SixTalkingHeads win and another Gator loss, we are back and ready for action! Although NCAA Championship Week is looming, we need to build our bankroll for next weekend's festivities. Tonight, we find ourselves in a pretty good situation.

9pm

4* Play on Georgia Tech +6 vs. North Carolina

Nobody wants to play UNC off a loss, certainly not an 18-10 Georgia Tech team fighting for a tourney bid. Despite the tough matchup, Tech checks into tonight's contest with an 16-1 home mark and some amazing trends behind them. UNC is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs the ACC, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall, and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 as a favorite. Georgia Tech on the other hand is 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games as a home underdog, 6-0 ATS as a dog of 0.5-6.5 pts, 6-0 ATS in their last 6 home games vs a team with a record above .600, and 6-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning road record. That's a combined 37-0 trend for you math majors out there. I hate playing against UNC off a loss, but this one smells like Pike's NCAA Game of the Week!

3* Play on Utah State +4.5
vs. Nevada
9pm and the action still hasn't stopped. Nevada comes into tonight's contest as the #10 team in the country, but they might not leave that way. The Utah State Aggies have been more than impressive this year at home with a perfect 14-0 home mark, but the in contrast, the Wolfpack haven't exactly been slouches on the road. Nevada is 12-1 on the road and has only 2 losses this season! Luckily the public is ALL OVER Nevada tonight and Utah State is playing with 15 point revenge from a little over a month ago. Here comes loss #3.

10pm

3* Play on Washington -2.5
vs. USC
The final game of the night should help to cap off the evening on a high note. The #23 Trojans come storming into Husky territory and the Huskies are hungry. Washington is a remarkable 15-2 at home this year and is playing this contest with 7 point overtime revenge! If you remember the first contest, Washington let it slip away at the end - don't expect the result to be the same tonight. USC is just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record while Washington is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 0.5-6.5 pts. The hungry Huskies get their revenge. Huskies by 7.

Best of Luck,
Pikes

NCAA Basketball Picks - Tuesday, February 27th

After a successful 5* Game of the Month Winner on Sunday, the SixTalkingHeads are back. Tonight's play is a doozie!

3* Play on Tennessee +4.5 over Florida (9PM EST)

Although I'm a little leary on playing Tennessee tonight due to Florida's losing streak, I would be foolish not to play tonight's game. Tennessee is 15-1 at home this year and is playing with 16 point revenge. The Volunteers are an impressive 6-1 ATS in their last 7 as dogs of 0.5-6.5 pts. Considering the Gators are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. Southeastern squads, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games folloing an ATS loss, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a fave, we really love our chances. They are also just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a road fave. Get the hint. I could see Florida winning this one, but the Vols cover it.

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA Basketball Picks - Sunday, February 25th

Yesterday, after I pulled TCU over AirForce prior to the tipoff, I knew the day was going to end ugly. My final tally 1-3 down 6 stars. Today however, I see several plays that enter into my system. It hasn't looked good lately, so we need to make a run soon. It starts today!

2pm
3* Play on St. Johns +8 over Duke

Let's see, a CBS televised game, with Duke playing well and St. Johns barely over .500. Could St. John's pull out a W? It's possible, especially since Duke is just 4-3 on the road this year. St Johns might be 15-13, but they have a decent home record of 13-6. Duke is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Big East and St. John's is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning record. Those trends alone are worth are hard earned cash today. Duke wins, but doesn't cover.

5:30pm

3* Play on Maryland vs. North Carolina

Maryland is 15-3 at home and continues to show promise. With a tourney bid is still in their reach, a key win today would seal the deal. North Carolina dons an impressive 6-2 road record, but they won't be able to hang with the Terps today. The Terps are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. the ACC. Throw in their 4-1 ATS mark in their last 5 home games, and we have a 12-1 Inside Angle! Terps win a close one!

8pm
5* Play on Arizona State +7 over Arizona

The battle of the Zonas occurs tonight. Earlier this year we were all over Arizona State as they were trounced by Arizona by 24. Now that revenge is a factor, we love our chances even more. Although it's tough playing on a 7-19 squad, Arizona is just 5-4 on the road this year. The Wildcats are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite. Meanwhile, the Sun Devils are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. a team with a winning % above .600, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Pacific-10! A combined 31-5 Angle? We have to play it. CASH IN ON THIS PLAY NOW! 5* GAME OF THE MONTH!

NCAA Basketball Picks - Saturday, February 24

Well if you joined us last Saturday, you know we cashed in big time! Although this past week we have taken a little bit of a hit, we are right back in the college hoops world today! I have isolated several plays today that should bring home the cash! Even though I think all of today's plays are winners, make sure you stick with the SixTalkingHeads Star System!

All games below are in Eastern Time

3:30pm

3* Play on San Francisco +4 vs. Gonzaga

The San Francisco 49ers playing the Zags? This year, the 49ers probably could compete with the Zags on the b-ball court. The Zags are just 5-6 on the road this year and are playing a tough San Francisco squad today. The Dons are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games, where as the Zags are 2-8-1 in their last 11 after an ATS win. 49ers pull the upset!

4pm

3* Play on Oklahoma -2 vs. Texas

Revenge is a friend of mine and on the college hardwood, you should learn to befriend it too. Oklahoma is an incredible 13-2 at home this year and is playing Texas with big time revenge. The Sooners are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 home games and 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 as a fave. This doesn't sit well with the Longhorns considering they are just 2-10 ATS in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a winning record. Sooners roll!

6pm

3* Play on San Diego State -3 vs. BYU

I love SD State! Not only are they 13-2 at home, they are playing a BYU team that is under .500 on the road this year. How can the #22 team in the country be getting 3 points? Maybe its because the Cougars are just 3-8 ATS on the road where the Aztecs are 4-0-1 in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning record above .600. The Aztecs are also 7-0-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall! Upset city!

9pm

3* Play on Boise State +2 vs. Nevada

I didn't know Boise State even had a Basketball team until I saw them playing #10 Nevada today. Getting only 2 points tells us that Boise is up to something, and the odds makers know it! Boise is 13-2 at home, but is playing a tough 11-1 road team in the Wolfpack. However, Boise is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog! I wonder if their b-ball court is painted blue?
Go Boise!

NCAA Basketball Picks - Thursday, February 22

Well after nailing my 4* Game of the week last night, the Cowboys of Oklahoma State came up short to bring us to a 1-1 evening. Sure 1-1 is ok, but considering we are fighting for tourney cash come March, we need to do better. Tonight I guarantee to provie you with a winner. Stick with me and I promise to be cash flow positive come tourney time!

Thursday February 22nd, 9pm est.

3* Play on Clemson Tigers +1.5 vs. Duke Blue Devils

How good are the Duke Blue Devils? We will find out tonight. Tonight the Clemson Tigers (12-3 at home) take on an overrated Duke team that is only 3-3 on the road. The Tigers have played extremely well this year at home and are still looking for a tourney bid. Tonight should seal the deal if they can upset the Blue Devils. Knowing that the Tigers are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home is huge! Duke is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. a team with a record above .600. The Tigers will keep this one close and grab the cash. Duke feels the paw!

Remember to stick with the SixTalkingHeads Star System! You will be rewarded!

NCAA Basketball Picks - Wednesday, February 21

After a disappointing 0-3 Monday, it's time to rebound. The public mopped up on Monday and gave a decent amount back yesterday. Since the tournament is fast approaching, we better earn some spending cash. Tonight's winners are...

8pm

4* Play on Mississippi State -6.5 vs. Vanderbilt

If you checked out the SixTalkingHeads on Saturday, you knew we were all over Vandy. That's not because I used to play high school basketball against their starting center, but because I knew that they were going to pull off the upset over then #1 ranked Florida. However, after such a huge win, we also know how to play against the red hot Vanderbilt squad and cash in big tonight! The trends are a plenty, as the Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 after an ATS win. They are also 6-0 ATS in their last 6 as a home fave of 0.5 - 6.5 pts. Throw in their 5-0 ATS mark vs. Southeastern squads, and Vandy's disappointing 0-5 ATS mark as a dog of 0.5-6.5 pts and we have a combined 25-0 trend... Also known as my game of the week! Vandy gets blown out!

9pm

3* Play on Oklahoma State +4.5 vs. Texas A&M

I love a good home squad, especially when that home squad is 18-1 on their own hardwood. Does this remind you of Michigan State last night? If so, I hope you are all over the Cowboys today. The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a record above .600. Knowing that the #9 team in the country is only giving 4.5 seals the deal. Cowboys roll!

Best of Luck,

Pikes

NCAA Basketball - Monday, February 19th

It's Big Monday in College Hoops and it's time to make some last minute cash before the tournament. Lately, the public has been getting rocked and the SixTalkingHeads NCAA plays continue to flourish. Since tournament time is around the corner, make sure you don't go crazy over the next couple of weeks. It's now more important then ever to stick with the SixTalkingHeads Star system! It's been one wild ride....let the fun continue!

3* Play on Villanova Wildcats +3 over Marquette

Marquette hasn't been playing like the Marquette we knew from the beginning of the year. Prior to last week, Marquette was the team that everyone had in their elite eight come tournament time. However, considering their most recent play, we realize that Marquette is fading faster then a gambler's bank account who doesn't play our games. Although Nova lost a close one last Saturday to G-Town, we expect them to pull the road upset here today. Nova's 6-2-2 ATS mark in their last 10 road games vs. a winning team above .600 seals the deal. It doesn't hurt knowing the Golden Eagles are also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Big East. I guess this picture is why they call it Big Monday! Wildcats Roar!

3* Play on Wisconsin-Green Bay +5.5 over Butler

Who is Wisconsin GB? This year, they sure aren't the Cinderella team of a few years ago, but Wisc-GB is good for a few plays a season. The Phoenix are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a dog of 0.5 to 6.5 pts while the Bulldogs are just 2-6 ATS following a game with a loss. Considering they lost to Southern Illinois at home on Saturday, today's game allows us to pull in the cash! Butler loses again!

4* Play on Kansas State +5.5
over Kansas

Remember on Saturday when I recommended Nebraska plus the points over Kansas? Not only did Kansas cover the spread in the 2nd half alone, they won by 53 points! Kansas State wa
s destroyed by Kansas on the road earlier this year by 27, and have been waiting for this chance at revenge. After winning by 27, we were a little surprised to see the Jayhawks only favored by 6 points as the line opened last night. Once we looked at the trends, we knew why. The Wildcats come into today's contest with a 5-0 ATS mark in their last 5 home games. They are also 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 8-2 ATS vs. the Big 12. I know it's only Monday, but K State grabs my NCAA Game of the Week! We smell an upset.....K State does the impossible.

NCAA Basketball - Sunday, February 18th

Although we weren't satisfied with yesterday's 3-3 run, we can't be totally disappointed. Anytime you can get out of a day even (minus juice) should be considered a winning day. In sports gambling, you will learn to love a .500 day. Today, 3 plays are on my watch list. Make sure you put them on yours.

3* Play on Georgia Tech +7.5 over Duke

You give Duke one win and they think they are the team to beat again. I'm not disappointed
that the Dukees took out Boston College a few days ago, but the public has already built them up to superstar status as they take on a decent Georgia Tech team today. The Yellow Jackets check into today's game at 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a dog of 7-12.5 points. Considering Duke is just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. the ACC, we think that G-Tech stays within the number. Duke wins, but it's a close one.

3* Play on Minnesota +12 over Ohio State

How can we even think to bet on a 9-16 team? Easy, this 9-16 team has a winning home record and the public is all over OSU. Considering this is a televised game, we expect the Gophers to keep it close throughout most of the game. Although Ohio State should win this one easily, we see too much value in the Gophers. Ohio State's 0-6 ATS mark in their last 6 as a fav of 7.0 - 12.5 pts cements it.

3* Play on Northwestern +13 over Illinois

These aren't your normal fighting Illini. Illinois has had several problems this year and have been disappointing their booster club all season long. In today's Big 10 matchup, I expect Northwestern to give the Fighting Illini a fight 'til the end. Although Northwestern might be a poor road team, the Illini are just 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a road record of under .400. They are also just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win. Illini win by 12.

NCAA Basketball - Saturday, February 17

If you are just joining us for our NCAA Basketball Picks, you have missed one hell of a ride thus far. After a horrible start to the season, I am on one of the greatest runs of my life (9-1 last 10 games). Hopefully you cashed in on my NCAA Game of the Month last Thursday with the California Golden Bears over the Oregon Ducks. If not, you had better start paying attention.

Drum roll please...

3* Play on Arizona -1 over UCLA

Sweet revenge is here again! Although Arizona doesn't have the "real" Wildcats in my eyes (Villanova), I see some value in Olsen's fraud squad here today. Arizona knows how to get down and dirty when revenge is on the line, and today they look to avenge a 4 point loss against the Bruins from earlier in the year. The Bruins are just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and the Wildcats are an impressive 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss. We see too much value to pass on this one today, especially when it's a CBS televised matchup. Wildcats roll!

3* Play on Vanderbilt +6 over Florida

Revenge again? This late in the season, revenge is on always on our side! The last time these two teams met, Florida was victorious by 10, but Vandy fought until the end. Being at home today should help Vandy avenge last month's loss to the #1 Gators. I won't guarantee the upset, but I'll take the 6 points with revenge any day of the week. Vanderbilt also possesses an impressive 12-3 home mark, and they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog. Commodores in a close one.

3* Play on South Carolina +4.5
over Tennessee

Betting the house on a .500 team isn't smart. However, we aren't betting the house and South Carolina isn't your normal 12-12 squad. The Gamecocks are full of value considering they are on a 5-game losing streak. The Vols are off one of the biggest games of the year as they pulled the upset earlier this week over #18 Kentucky. Did you know that the Vols are only 1-7 on the road this year? They are also 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games as a road fav. Throw in their 0-4 ATS mark in their last 4 road games overall and their 0-4 ATS mark in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and we have a combined 0-12 ATS mark! Add to that the Gamecocks 6-0 ATS record in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and we have a combined 16-0 ATS record! Game, Set, and Cock!

3* Play on Oklahoma +3.5
over Texas A&M

Can anyone tell me why the #6 team in the country is only favored by 3 pts over an unranked foe? If your response is that Texas A&M just lost, it's wrong! Sure, that may have moved some of the public to Oklahoma, but the majority of the public is still all over the Aggies. Texas A&M might be a solid team, but with #20 Ok State on deck, the Aggies won't be thinking of this Oklahoma team. A key win by the Sooners and they may be rolling to the Big Dance. Throw in the Sooners 12-1 home mark and an undefeated 5-0-1 ATS mark in their last 6 games vs. a winning team above .600 and it's a Sooner Saturday!

3* Play on Seton Hall +11.5
over West Virginia

Another horrible team, another value play. The Mountaineers are just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 versus the Big East. Sure it's rough taking a 12-12 team on the road, but the public is all over the Mountaineers here today. Seton Hall's size should be a factor here today. Look for a close one in Morgantown.

3* Play on Nebraska +16
over Kansas

Kansas has been destroying teams as of late, but a 16 point favorite is too much. I don't care if they are at home, the public has inflated Kansas to a level they shouldn't have reached. Nebraska may not be the greatest team in the world, but they should easily stay within the number today. Knowing that the Cornhuskers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 13 or more sits well with us today. The Jayhawks are just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games vs a team with a losing record and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Saturday matchups. It looks like the Cornhuskers will be shucking Jayhawks.

3* Play on Gonzaga +5 over Memphis

If I didn't give out my 4* Game of the week earlier this week, this would be it. The Zags are 13-3 this year on their home hardwood and know how to win the big one. Sure the Zags have had their problems off the court, but they will be extremely focused when the Tigers come to play this afternoon. Saturdays have been great for the Bulldogs as of late as they are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games. They are also 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. Experience is the key today considering Memphis hasn't played a formidable foe since Arizona back on 12/20/06. Meanwhile, the Zags have played several tough teams throughout the year including Duke, North Carolina, Virginia, Butler, and Nevada. Experience wins in this one. It's Zagtastic!

3* Play on Utah +2 over UNLV

The 9-16 Utes? Yes Sir. Utah is horrible this year, whether they are home or on the road. However, the Runnin' Rebels have had their problems covering against horrible foes this year. Utah took the Rebels to overtime earlier this year, and considering the 21-6 Rebels are only 2 point favorites, we think Vegas knows something that we don't. With revenge being a factor and UNLV's 0-4 ATS mark in their last 4 games vs the Mountain West, we are all over the Utes today. Utah's 13-3 ATS record in their last 16 games vs. a team with a winning record cements it. Utah pulls the upset!

Make sure you check in throughout the day for my additional plays!

Please remember to stick with the SixTalkingHeads star system! Stay the course and you will be rewarded.

Best of Luck,

Pikes
