NCAA Basketball Picks - Sunday, February 25th

Yesterday, after I pulled TCU over AirForce prior to the tipoff, I knew the day was going to end ugly. My final tally 1-3 down 6 stars. Today however, I see several plays that enter into my system. It hasn't looked good lately, so we need to make a run soon. It starts today!

3* Play on St. Johns +8 over Duke

Let's see, a CBS televised game, with Duke playing well and St. Johns barely over .500. Could St. John's pull out a W? It's possible, especially since Duke is just 4-3 on the road this year. St Johns might be 15-13, but they have a decent home record of 13-6. Duke is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. the Big East and St. John's is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning record. Those trends alone are worth are hard earned cash today. Duke wins, but doesn't cover.


5:30pm

3* Play on Maryland vs. North Carolina

Maryland is 15-3 at home and continues to show promise. With a tourney bid is still in their reach, a key win today would seal the deal. North Carolina dons an impressive 6-2 road record, but they won't be able to hang with the Terps today. The Terps are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. the ACC. Throw in their 4-1 ATS mark in their last 5 home games, and we have a 12-1 Inside Angle! Terps win a close one!

5* Play on Arizona State +7 over Arizona

The battle of the Zonas occurs tonight. Earlier this year we were all over Arizona State as they were trounced by Arizona by 24. Now that revenge is a factor, we love our chances even more. Although it's tough playing on a 7-19 squad, Arizona is just 5-4 on the road this year. The Wildcats are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a favorite. Meanwhile, the Sun Devils are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. a team with a winning % above .600, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. the Pacific-10!
