NCAA Basketball Picks - Thursday, January 25

Saturday in the NCAA was once again another productive day if you checked out the SixTalkingHeads NCAA Handicapping Article. Although I made another bone headed play by pulling one of my winning plays (Texas Tech) and adding a losing play (Penn State), I was satisfied with a 3-2 taking.

Another interesting fact that occurred to me over the past week was that I was officially banned from my 3rd bookie in past two years. That's right kids, I have now been banned by 3 different bookies! This one lasted a little longer than usual...I had a friend on the inside who kept telling the bookie I would eventually lose, but a few thousand dollars later and he officially called it quits. This story is 100% true....stick with us and you will be rewarded.

Now on to today's winning plays....

3* Play on Loyola-Chicago over Butler

Houston, we found a winner! Today's trivia question: Who is Loyola-Chicago? Answer, a lonely 11-7 squad who is about to upset the #11th ranked team in the country. Loyola Chicago is a lethal 10-1 at home this year, and today they will catch the Butler bulldogs off guard. Butler is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 0.5 - 6.5 pts and a disappointing 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games following a three game homestand. Ramblers Rumble!

3* Play on Washington -4 over Oregon

Today's 2nd contest pits the 11-7 Washington Huskies against the #7th ranked team in the country the Mighty Oregon Ducks. The Huskies come into today's contest with an impressive 5-1 ATS mark in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Ducks unfortunately are a dismal 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win. Could the mighty ducks falter in today's hardwood contest? Bet your husky arse they do!

3* Play on California +6 over UCLA

Did anyone catch the score of last nights Florida/Miss State game? If you didnt catch the score, the #1 team in the country was giving 6 to an unranked team and was lucky to escape with a W. It's time for Deja Vu tonight! Tonight, the #2 team in the land is laying 6 to a fairly strong California squad. Sure UCLA won't have to travel far for today's contest, but the Bruins are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games versus Pac 10 foes. The Golden Bears 6-0 ATS mark in their last 6 following a S.U. loss cements it. Tonight, go Bears over Bruins.

3* Play on Stanford -1.5 over USC

No, its not a college football game. We wouldn't be that crazy to ever predict a Stanford win over the Trojans, but in the game of college hoops the feat is quite possible. Stanford has been playing well lately and are a respectable 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. They are also 4-1 ATS following a S.U. win. Knowing that the Cardinals will be ready to defend their home court against a top 25 opponent sits well with us today. Unlike the Cardinals of baseball, these boys won't need steroids to pull this one off.

Please remember to stick with the SixTalkingHeads Star system and stay discplined! You will be a winner!

Best of Luck,

Pikes
